Professor Steven A. Gedeon, BSc, MSc, MBA, PhD (MIT) is Chair of the TorontoMet Entrepreneur Institute and Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), one of the largest entrepreneurship programs in the world with 10 on-campus incubators, 75 different entrepreneurship courses and Canada’s first Ashoka Changemaker Campus.
Steve is an entrepreneurship educator, angel investor and technology commercialization expert who has founded or led 15+ private, public, venture capital and non-profit organizations including the DMZ – named the World’s #1 University-Based Incubator. He has published over 100 articles, reports and books on entrepreneurship, technology, happiness, life design, angel investing and best practices in education.
Dr. Gedeon has extensive experience in designing and delivering entrepreneurial education, Teach-the-Teacher and tech transfer programs. He has commercialized new products and services in high-tech, manufacturing, automation, advanced materials, artificial intelligence, agri-food, web-based applications, IT solutions and software applications.
Steve teaches at Toronto Metropolitan University (Canada), University of Bologna (Italy), Bologna Business School (Italy), Franhofer AHEAD Program (Germany), University of Applied Science Munich (Germany), University of Applied Science Ostfalia (Germany) and in the EntreTime EU Teach-The-Teacher program. He is currently on sabbatical in Edinburgh, Scotland in support of the Entrepreneurial Campus blueprint and a visiting professor at the University of Edinburgh, Napier.
