As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023, NCEE launched the Global Alliance of Entrepreneurial Universities. The Global Alliance welcomes its first cohort of 22 member institutions, representing Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Ceri Nursaw, Chief Executive, said, “This is the most exciting development in our 20-year history – this network will help universities address the challenges they face ranging from helping get students ready for the future world of work, through to driving transformational change”.
Professor Gary Packham, Chair of NCEE, said, “Today marks a pivotal moment as we unveil the Global Alliance of Entrepreneurial Universities. This alliance, embodying a diverse and dynamic community of institutions, is a testament to our commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education. By bringing together universities from various corners of the world, we are not just sharing knowledge but also shaping a future where academic institutions are the cradles of entrepreneurial thinking and drivers of societal change. I am thrilled to witness the transformative journey that awaits each member and the collective impact we will make globally”.
The Global Alliance aims to position its member universities at the forefront of innovative thinking and new initiatives. It serves to enhance their visibility and profile, cultivate their staff’s expertise, and bolster their participation in managed and funded international opportunities.
Membership in the Alliance offers numerous benefits. These include access to an invaluable network, and exclusive resources such as online materials, publications, and reports. Additionally, members receive generous discounts on NCEE events, professional development programmes, and exclusive member-only activities.
The Alliance is managed by the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education (NCEE), an international organisation dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial universities. NCEE serves as a platform and collaborative network for the exchange of best practices, research, and insights in enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
