Open to all our members we are running a free series of online masterclasses exploring the potential of AI in higher education. The first masterclass on 18th March 2025, 12:00-13:00 (UK) will address:
AI, teaching & learning, and the end of the entrepreneurial university? James Ransom, Head of Research, NCEE
We do not fully understand how AI will impact universities, the world of work, or society. Technology is evolving fast, and universities are reacting to change. Drawing on examples of ‘best practice’, and then explaining how some of these are already outdated, this seminar will explore how universities can become more proactive and resilient, focusing on the impact of AI on teaching and learning.
James is Head of Research at NCEE, and an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at UCL Institute of Education. He has received support from Open Philanthropy to study AI governance and, together with Dr Richard Whittle at the University of Salford, recently authored a paper on AI and universities for the EU-funded N-TUTORR project.
This is the first in a series of masterclasses drawing on best practice, encouraging you to share learnings and understanding.
