Rob is Chief Operating Officer at York St John University, where he is a member of the Executive Board and responsible for the institution’s professional services spanning: finance; human resources; IT & digital; estates & campus management; marketing, student recruitment and admissions; and strategy & projects. Prior to moving into his current role in the Higher Education sector in 2016, Rob worked in both economic development and project management consulting, and in business transformation in the rail industry. He holds a BSc (hons) from Lancaster University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, an Executive MBA from the University of Leeds and gained his DBA in Higher Education Management from the University of Bath in 2024. His research interests are in the financial sustainability and diversification of HE.
