The first Global Interest Group was established in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University. It looks at how to support students to engage with businesses as part of their degree. The group seeks to generate best practices and understand how these could operate across different subject areas and disciplines.
The group meets bi-monthly between 12:00-13:30 (UK), with an upcoming event planned on 30th April.
We are delighted to welcome two excellent guest speakers for our next Business Clinic Global Interest Group session: Lisa Rees-O’Donnell from the University of Salford and Andrea Cunningham.
Both Lisa and Andrea joined this Global Interest Group at the outset and have since gone on to develop a Business Clinic model within their own institutions. As many of us know, every clinic model naturally reflects the needs and context of its home institution, and this session will explore exactly how that process has unfolded in practice.
During the session, Lisa and Andrea will talk us through how they have adapted and developed the Business Clinic model into approaches that work within their own settings. They will share details of their programmes to date, reflecting on the challenges they have encountered, the successes they have achieved, and the key lessons they have learned along the way.
This promises to be a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand how the Business Clinic concept can evolve across different institutional environments, and to gain practical insights from colleagues who have successfully embedded and shaped the model in their own universities.
