Entrepreneurial Student Life Leaders, entrepreneurial universities

Building enterprising and dynamic communities with innovation at their heart will create a thriving and successful society. Economies that are supported by creative, ground-breaking talent will regenerate local communities and ensure our cities and regions remain at the forefront of new development. Enterprise and entrepreneurship should provide opportunities for all. We wish to see all universities placed at the heart of their local communities, and supported to develop long-term partnerships.

Higher education is changing as universities adopt different modes of delivery and diversify their offer. Senior leaders in higher education tell us that their top challenge is dealing with the complexity of external challenges facing their institution, and their number one priority is managing internal change. We need to support our higher education sector to manage change and be entrepreneurial in its practice.  We wish to see universities supported to develop their entrepreneurial leadership.

Creativity, taking the initiative, making things happen, reflecting, communicating, pivoting and adapting, storytelling, taking responsibility, networking, personal effectiveness and managed risk taking will all be essential for future success.
