Dr Track Dinning

Dr Track Dinning is an integral member of the senior leadership team at Liverpool Business School, where she serves as the Associate Dean of Education and Head of Undergraduate Programmes. Throughout her distinguished career at Liverpool John Moores University, she has excelled in a variety of non-academic and management roles. In her earlier tenure as Business Development Manager for the University’s Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Dr. Dinning discovered her passion for linking students with the business world, an enthusiasm that has defined her as an enterprise educator.

A fellow of the NCEE Entrepreneurial Leadership Society, Track is celebrated for her innovative, entrepreneurial mindset and her ability to lead transformative change across the school, the institution, and the wider sector. In her current role, she oversees a comprehensive range of undergraduate programmes, focusing on enhancing the student experience, advancing teaching practices, and upholding rigorous quality assurance standards.

Dr. Dinning’s commitment to enterprise education is exemplified through initiatives like the Business Clinic, a pioneering programme that integrates real-world consultancy projects and authentic assessments into the curriculum. Her work in practice-based learning has gained national and international attention, most recently through her leadership in hosting a Business Clinic Global Symposium in collaboration with the NCEE Global Universities Alliance.

Track’s research, positioned at the intersection of entrepreneurship, employability, and teaching and learning, has made a demonstrable impact through numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and was submitted as part of REF 2021 under Unit of Assessment 23. In 2024, Dr. Dinning achieved Principal Fellowship status with Advance HE and became a Certified Management and Business Educator, further underlining her dedication to excellence in higher education.
