University of Jendouba

The University of Jendouba, established in 2003, is a significant institution of higher education serving northwestern Tunisia. Situated in the town of Jendouba, the university plays a crucial role in providing educational opportunities across four provinces: Jendouba, Beja, El Kef, and Siliana. This strategic location allows the university to cater to the diverse educational needs of the region, making it an important centre for academic and professional development in northwestern Tunisia.

With 13 faculties spread across various locations, the University of Jendouba offers a wide range of academic programs. Its structure is unique, with five faculties receiving support from different government ministries, including Agriculture, Public Health, and Youth and Sports. This collaboration between academia and government departments enhances the relevance and practical application of the education provided. The university’s main campus in Jendouba houses the faculties of law, economics, and management science, while other specialised faculties are distributed across the region. Notable locations include the forestry and range institute in Tabarka, biotechnology and applied languages faculties in Beja, and various humanities and professional programs in El Kef and Siliana. This distributed model allows the university to tailor its offerings to local needs and resources, making higher education more accessible across northwestern Tunisia.
