Hannah Whiting is Director of the Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange at Bath Spa University. In this role, she leads the University’s Knowledge Exchange function and holds strategic responsibility for the management, reporting, and ongoing growth of the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF).

She oversees a dynamic and expanding Business Development team, closely aligned with the University’s short course provision, which focuses on upskilling and reskilling through collaborative and co-creative approaches.

Hannah brings together diverse stakeholders to co-create solutions, championing interdisciplinary working and fostering a culture of continuous learning. She is particularly committed to enabling impactful knowledge exchange that delivers tangible outcomes—supporting businesses to innovate, empowering communities to thrive, and ensuring institutions maximise the value of their expertise.

The Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange comprises approximately 40 staff, including teams responsible for Knowledge Exchange, the Short Course Unit, Business Development, Partnerships, Alumni Relations, and the Bath Social Impact Network.
