The Start Of A New Year: Invest In Yourself And Your Development

The Start Of A New Year: Invest In Yourself And Your Development

A hang up of attending school and university and then working in higher education I always think of September as a new year. It’s a time when many of us make resolutions for the year ahead and plan new activity.

Over the last year as we emerge from Covid, I have felt swamped by work. Lurching from one deadline to the next as we seek to restablish and further build the organisation. I have kept many good habits learnt during the pandemic (exercise and scheduling) but also some bad ones (a continued crisis approach). The time to reset and focus on our new year resolutions has never been so vital.

My resolutions this year are to focus on the strategic but also invest in my own development.  We now need to make long term plans for the organisation – think about the year ahead and invest for the future. The opportunity for us to grow our influence and further our global presence is huge. To make sure we get there a continued focus on my leadership is essential, and I’m taking up opportunities to reflect, review and take advice.

I know I am not alone in seeing the opportunities and making plans for the future, as this is what we always do as leaders. Our exclusive Entrepreneurial Leaders Community is a chance for everyone who has been on our leadership programme to keep in touch but also continue the investment in themselves. It will give you the opportunity to network with your peers in our global network (a network that has grown over the last 10 years), but also attend our annual get together (as described last year as the ‘best therapy’). Our development day and online sessions will focus on you and your leadership development, offering insight, advice and an opportunity to reflect and pause. Importantly, it will give you an opportunity to raise your profile – publishing blogs and thought pieces.

So join our Community and continue to invest in yourself and your development. For only £495 plus VAT you can become part of the community.
