Remy Twiringiyimana

Remy is completing his PhD study in Science Technology Engineering and Public Policy (STEaPP) at University College London (UCL). He is researching how universities interact with other actors for research and innovation, in emerging innovation ecosystems. His research focuses on systems theory and related conceptual frameworks, and how these concepts are useful for policy and practice. He studied electrical and electronic engineering at University of Strathclyde, graduating in 2009. Prior to starting his PhD, he served as Advisor to Minister of Education in Rwanda government for 5 years. Previously, he worked for 5 years in same ministry as Director of Research and Development. Prior to joining the ministry of education in 2010, Remy worked as Assistant Lecturer in electronics and telecommunications at former University of Rwanda (UR), formerly Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).
