Professor Adam Shore is the Director of Liverpool Business School at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), where he leads the strategic development of the school, with a focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. With over two decades of experience in higher education, Professor Shore has a distinctive blend of academic expertise and entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded the Dynamic Rock climbing centre in 2004, which shaped his teaching and research on entrepreneurial learning.

His research, often published in high-impact journals, focuses on grief and resilience in entrepreneurship, as well as strategic management and digital transformation. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles and led significant projects such as the £2.5 million LCR Enhance programme, funded by the European Social Fund, which supports enterprise skills and innovation. His work also explores the integration of digital technologies in education and business, with an emphasis on preparing students for future leadership roles.

Professor Shore plays a prominent role in shaping the future of business education. He is a Trustee and Council member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) and previously chaired its Learning, Teaching, and Student Experience committee. He is a Principal Fellow of Advance HE, a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Beyond academia, he is committed to responsible business practices, serving on the Northwest Leadership Board for Business in the Community (BITC).

His unique combination of academic rigour and real-world entrepreneurial experience positions him as a leader in business and management education, regularly delivering talks on leadership innovation, and entrepreneurial education on an international stage. His work champions the importance of sustainability and social value in higher education, ensuring students are equipped to address real-world challenges through innovative and responsible business practices.
