Student-led Business Clinic Symposium
13.00-15.00 GMT 23 January 2024
Join our invitation only student-led business clinic symposium. Aimed at universities who have business clinics and those who are thinking of setting them up the symposium is an opportunity to share knowledge and good practice whilst challenging what we currently offer and our approach.
Student-led Business Clinics gives students the opportunity to provide advice for real clients – from small and medium sized organisations, multi-nationals through to non-profit and charities. Students get to the root of clients’ problems before providing a detailed report and presentation of their recommendations. Business Clinics give the opportunity for universities to directly support organisations whilst also providing real-world skills to their students.
The symposium will be a mix of short presentations and round table discussion. This symposium will provide the opportunity to develop an effective relationship between UK and attending Universities both at a network level, but also individually. An output of the symposium will be a collective report from the discussion, that will be shared back with all the participants and other Global Alliance members.
This symposium is a partnership between the Global Alliance of Entrepreneurial Universities and Liverpool John Moores University. Led by Dr Track Dinning, Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University is a former winner of the UK’s Outstanding Entrepreneurial University of the Year. The Business Clinic has been running for 5 years with over 1,200 students involved with over 100 organisations.
