Coventry University, in association with NCEE, offers a MA Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education. The award builds on the success of the previous IEEP programme.
The MA EEE is based at Coventry University’s International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship (ICTE). It aims to equip UK educators with masteries of the key elements of facilitating, teaching and organising entrepreneurial learning.
The programme does not focus solely on the business context of entrepreneurship. The emphasis is on supporting an entrepreneurial mind set – enabling young people to enjoy, and be unafraid of, creating ventures in an uncertain and complex world.
There are three stages to the MA:
- Three module certificate
- Three module diploma
- Research dissertation.
The Certificate and Diploma stages are each assessed by portfolio that reflect on learning by:
- Individual essays
- Proposals and reports
- Presentations and projects, including commercial applications specifications, dissertation, reflective reports
- Collaborative discussion forums
- Oral/visual presentations
- Written reports
- Case studies.
Each module starts with a three-day residential block of learning at Coventry or a guest host institution. Self-directed learning forms an element of all modules and each student will be expected to make a number of pledges to act, and reflect, on through the programme. Pledges are undertaken to support the learning outcomes of each module, and to give experience and practice relevant to student’s own work and future career aspirations.
