Paul Hannon, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Educations was in Malaysia last week as a judge for the Malaysian MOHE (Ministry of Higher Education) Entrepreneurial Award. Adapted from the Times Higher Education ‘Entrepreneurial University of the year Award, it recognises the most entrepreneurial universities in Malaysia and will be held on the 5th of December in Kuala Lumpur.
Paul Hannon said about the award “I think it’s a fantastic opportunity for Malaysian universities. We have been running a similar award in the UK for five years and it has done two things. First, it has raised the profile of entrepreneurial universities across the country and secondly, it has inspired alot of people working universities about how to make their institutions more entrepreneurial. If it achieves the same impact in Malaysia I think that will be of great benefit.”
