NCEE’s Acting CEO appointed Advisor to Entrepreneurial University Award in Malaysia

Professor Paul Hannon, Acting CEO at NCEE has been selected to be the Advisor to the National Council for Higher Education in Entrepreneurship (NCHEE) in Malaysia. Appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in this role, Paul has been working closely with NCHEE to launch their new flagship Entrepreneurial University Award.

Building on the success of the UK’s Entrepreneurial University of the Year award which is sponsored by NCEE and run by the Times Higher Education, Paul was invited to meet with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the visit, Paul shared knowledge and experience from initiating the UK award which is currently in its 4th year, to help build the foundation for the Malaysian equivalent with NCHEE stakeholders. This included meetings with Vice-Chancellors of the twenty Malaysian public universities and the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and also being invited to join an Academia Industry roundtable discussion with representation from Higher Education Institutions, corporates, investors and other support organisations.
